Hi, I'm Darren,

I live on Hayling Island on the sunny South Coast with my beautiful wife Rachel and son Dylan. I grew up here; it’s a small but beautiful place so I spent most of my childhood playing outdoors, both on the beach and in the sea. Now I’m in my early 30s, I more or less try to do the same thing - with a bit of adulting when required!

I’ve always loved taking photos. I remember being told off for filling rolls of film in my parents' cameras with landscape photos instead of family pictures while on holiday. I’ve always been the one trying to capture and document moments in time as well as the places I’ve been.

I didn’t start taking photography seriously until many years later. In 2012, I began working as a videographer on personal projects, weddings and a few commercial clients. This eventually rekindled my love for still photography. (I still dabble with the odd bit of video now and then!)

After being told, “These are great, you should sell them” countless times, I started selling my first prints in 2018. A few years later, here we are!

When I’m not behind the lens, you’ll find me either in my self-built campervan with my little family, in the sea or on the beach.
